Dr. Erin Macko, DDS
For over 35 years it has been our aim to provide patients with high-quality, comfortable treatment because that is what we would want and expect as patients. Dr. Erin Macko seamlessly took over where Dr. Judy McCann left off. Erin is a compassionate and caring woman who has the extensive training and experience it takes to provide comprehensive dentistry for patients of all ages. Our staff are the best around; friendly, understanding and here to make your dental experience one you want to go home and talk to your friends and family about.
Dr. Macko is a Newark local. She grew up in Pike Creek and graduated from Padua Academy in Wilmington. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from the University of Delaware and her dental degree from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry.
After graduating from Ohio State, Dr. Macko went on to complete a general practice residency at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago. She worked in private practice in the Chicago area for 4 years before moving back home.
A member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the Delaware State Dental Society, Dr. Macko frequents continuing education courses in all aspects of dentistry. She is also a Diplomate of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine and has had great success using dental appliances to treat patients suffering from sleep apnea. Additional training with the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain has enabled her to help those suffering from certain types of head and neck pain.
Erin has a strong passion for community service locally as well as abroad. She is a volunteer with Special Olympics and has also made two trips to Central America. She is a community outreach volunteer and mentor with JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation). She is also a registered provider with the Veterans Administration, serving local active military needs.
Dr. Macko and her husband Greg are raising their children Lucy, 7, and Spencer, 4, in her old stomping grounds. They enjoy time with family at the beach and exploring White Clay Creek Park. Don’t be surprised if you see them wearing Philadelphia fan gear or at a local park on the swing sets!

Jaclyn
Patient Coordinator/Dental Assistant
Jaclyn has been a Dental Assistant since 2014, but also serves as your patient coordinator too! She enjoys the daily challenges she encounters, her relationships with patients, and ensuring everyone has a smile when they leave. Jaclyn grew up in Middletown, DE. She now lives in Warwick, MD with her husband Trevor and her two dogs Bella and Sage. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family at the beach!
Phyllis
Dental Assistant
Phyllis brings 39 years of dental assisting to the practice! She has a natural calming ability and loves helping our patients feel comfortable and at ease in the office. She is an animal lover and has horses, chickens, and dogs on her farm! Her favorite time is spent with her 4 children and 6 grandchildren.
Megan
Dental Hygienist
Megan is one of our hygienists. She has been practicing in DE for 7 years. Her favorite part of the job is genuinely getting to know her patients. She is compassionate and friendly! In her free time, you can find her fishing, kayaking, or golfing with her husband. She loves Philadelphia sports (Go Phillies!). On weekends you can find her at a bluegrass festival playing her bass and guitar or relaxing with her two cocker spaniel pups.
Sharon
Dental Hygienist
Sharon is a Delaware native. She graduated from Delaware Technical & Community College in 1993 & has been practicing Dental Hygiene ever since. Sharon thoroughly enjoys patient contact and getting to meet people. Her goal is to educate her patients and to make sure they feel comfortable while in her dental chair. She grew up in St. Georges and currently lives in Middletown with her husband Bill, two boys William “Buddy” & Zachary, and their miniature Dachsund Koby. Sharon enjoys spending her free time with her family/friends, watching her boys pitch, going to the beach, camping and volunteering. She lives by the sayings, “Don’t sweat the small stuff” & “ Live life to the fullest”, as we never know what tomorrow will bring us!!
Harshitha
Dental Assistant
Harshitha is a senior at the University of Delaware studying neuroscience with hopes of attending dental school once she graduates. She has been a part of the team since 2020 and enjoys getting to meet patients while assisting Dr. Macko. In her free time, you can find her outside kayaking, exploring all the best foods in the local food scenes, or playing the piano.
Amy
Dental Hygienist
Amy has been a Hygienist since 2010. She lives in Pike Creek with her husband, 2 children, and 2 dogs. In addition to being a Hygienist, Amy is also a yoga and fitness instructor. She enjoys working out, gardening, and live music.
Dr. Macko and her entire staff are the absolute best. I have struggled with anxiety about dentist and complications from other health conditions that ultimately impact my teeth. I really appreciate the amount of time Dr. Macko has spent helping/educating me on variety of ways to improve my overall dental health. Whenever I have had a problem, the front office has gotten me in usually same day to check out the problem and determine next steps. Dr. Macko and her staff are so warm and kind, it really makes going to the dentist a much better experience.
